Air traffic at Bamako airport increases by 14% in 2008

 Air traffic at Bamako's international airport registered a 12.4% increase in 2007 and 14% in 2008, while the number of passengers increased by 20% in 2007 and 17% in 2008, an official source told PANA.

On the other hand, air freight registered 16.75% fall in 2007, and 3.93% in 2008, according to the Ministry of Equipment and Transports.

It said during the same period, 27 airlines flew into the airport every week.
